Licensed Clinical Social Worker

Realize your best is good enough & live the life you want.

When you’re navigating life’s transitions, it often feels like whenever you’re getting the hang of things, another challenge comes along to knock you off balance again. And when you make a mistake or lose control of any area of your life, you’re not exactly kind to yourself about it.

Maybe you’ve found yourself overthinking everything you do or say or feeling uncertain of who you are and the direction your life is heading. You could be struggling to get a good night’s sleep, replaying and analyzing conversations in your head instead of resting.

During the day, you’ve been feeling low and unmotivated, and not nearly as productive as you’d like when it comes to school or work. Your social life feels like a mess too—with changes in friend groups or being too anxious to want to hang out with anyone at all.

Now, you’re exhausted even doing the bare minimum, and maybe you’re starting to realize that things might not get better if something doesn’t change. If you’re feeling like there has to be more to life than what you’re going through now, please know that there is.

My Background & Approach

I know what it’s like to feel trapped in your worries and feelings, and want sessions with me to be a space to process your past with someone who gets it and will help you navigate to the kind of future you want for yourself.

In all the work we do together, I’ll be letting you take the lead. Week to week, you can tell me what you’d like to work on and I’ll meet you where you are, ready to listen and offer up any information, tools, or exercises I think might be helpful along the way. We’ll move at whatever pace is best for you, and I’ll regularly check in to see how you’re feeling about our process.

I’m trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), which is an evidence-based method that uses bilateral stimulation to reprocess “stuck” memories and make them less stressful to live with. I believe our pasts are always present with us, informing how we act and react. So even if you haven’t experienced any major trauma, EMDR can still help you gain the momentum to move forward from what’s been holding you back.

Other methods I draw from include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), which help us understand how our thoughts and behavior are related, and show us the “why” behind our actions. I also take a strengths-based approach, which means everything we do will be tailored to the strengths you already have!

Through this work, my hope is that you’ll be able to find more peace of mind on a daily basis. You’ll have a toolbox full of things to help you sleep better, set boundaries, and feel more motivated, energized, and social.

I received my Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in Social Work at Boise State University in Idaho. I’ve since worked with teens and adults in inpatient and outpatient treatment centers. Through these experiences, I’ve learned how important it is to set an example for my clients, and always maintain healthy boundaries and ethics in my work.

The stage of life you’re in is tough for everyone, and I would love to take some of the pressure off by offering my steadfast support and guidance—because you deserve the life you want.
