Taylor Hoyt
Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist, CA #159943
I’m here to help you build a toolkit to create the life & relationships you really want.
You come to therapy because something in you is ready—ready to slow down, to look honestly at what’s been shaping your life, and to engage with intention rather than avoidance.
Maybe your relationships feel confusing, stuck, or draining. You might be in the middle of a life transition or quietly questioning your self-esteem, identity, or relationship to intimacy. Or maybe you’re struggling with ADHD and executive functioning challenges that make day-to-day life harder than it looks from the outside.
Whether you’re a high-functioning professional who feels stuck or a creative teen trying to make sense of their inner world, you’re here because you want practical support, real tools, and forward movement.
I work with teens, adults, couples, and LGBTQ+ folx. I pay close attention to how religious background, internalized shame, and questions of identity can shape the way you see yourself and relate to others. Over time, our work together will help you feel more settled in who you are and more confident in how you show up in your life and relationships.
My Background & Approach
Sessions with me are steady, straightforward, and free of judgment. You don’t have to filter yourself or worry about saying the “wrong” thing. Nothing is off-limits or taboo, and nothing you bring in will surprise me. I’m calm and present in our work together while also not afraid to gently challenge you when it’s helpful. That balance allows the insight you gain to turn into real growth and change.
My work is uniquely tailored to you. We’ll look together at patterns, outside pressures, and the beliefs that shape how you see yourself, your relationships, and the world around you. From there, we focus on practical tools and habits you can actually use to support your day to day life. I often draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to work through thought patterns tied to sex, shame, and self-worth to help you feel more connected to yourself and, when relevant, to your partner.
I earned my Master’s in Clinical Psychology from Pepperdine University. I also offer sex therapy with advanced training and ongoing certification through the American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors and Therapists (AASECT). As a Level 3 Gottman-trained clinician, I use evidence-based and practical tools to support meaningful relationship change.
No matter what brings you into therapy, my goal is to help you feel more at ease in yourself so you can move more fully into the healthy life and relationships you deserve.
