Riley Glasgow

Registered Associate Marriage & Family Therapist, Registered Associate Professional Clinical Counselor

I want to offer you space to discover what’s important to you and tools to live a happy, balanced life.

Do you tend to take on everyone else’s needs in life, and end up feeling like you’ve lost yourself in the process? Maybe you’re worried about letting others down or fear being judged for the intrusive thoughts you can’t seem to stop. It might feel like your partner and you have lost your sense of fun and playfulness in your relationship, or are stuck in the mundane day-to-day.

It’s possible you know where these challenges are coming from—a painful past experience or relationship whose impacts you haven’t been able to shake. Or, maybe you’re not sure why you’re feeling this way. You just know you’re ready for it to change.

I know that the idea of opening up to someone might feel scary. This is a place where you will be met with genuine non-judgment, acceptance, and validation for your unique experience. Because it’s real, it’s valid, and it’s worth attending to.

My Background & Approach

My approach to therapy is highly collaborative and centered on you. I will never push you to talk about something you’re not ready to address.  We’ll decide together how to prepare you for those big breakthrough moments by incorporating the therapeutic approaches that are best suited to you and your goals. I’ll be equal parts supportive and direct, gently challenging you when I see an opportunity for growth.

I also don’t believe therapy has to be all heavy all the time. We’ll laugh together, and my hope is that this is a space where you feel truly comfortable showing up as your authentic self.

I am trained in a variety of therapeutic orientations, allowing me to take a more holistic, integrative approach to treatment. Depending on your needs, we may incorporate methods such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure & Response Prevention (ERP), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and mindfulness.

I received my Master's in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from Pepperdine University. I have provided care in a variety of settings for clients of all ages, including those dealing with the impacts of trauma, domestic violence, and sexual assault. In addition to my clinical experience, I became a certified yoga instructor in 2017.  The benefits of yoga, both physical and mental, inform my holistic and integrative approach to treating the whole person.
